To decode the art of content making, we spoke with Brinda- a Born on Instagram (BOI) recognised influencer who has partnered with 1000 lifestyle brands.

Brinda has been a part of an Indian affiliate summit with Optimise Media where she’s conversed with brand marketers and CEO’s on how influencers are helping brands and changing the affiliate marketing landscape. On Women’s Day, the influencer was also spotted taking over Flipkart’s page in association with the Revlon brand live on Instagram. 
 
Having worked with a PR firm in the past, she has an experience in bridging the gap between audiences and brands. She would closely work with brands and understand what their requirements are, and as an influencer, she would gain insights from the audience as to what content they want to see.

1. Vision: One should do a full-proof research on their target audience before making content for them. The focus should not be on creating a reel but on bringing in content that has a vision, thought, and quality. The only way to build credibility is to keep in mind that reputation and audience trust are the most powerful assets. 

2. Content Planning: Planning content ahead of time and understanding key trends is essential. Having out-of-the-box ideas, crafting an impactful bio, and using the right hashtags are some of the essentials that every influencer should keep in mind when they begin their journey. 
 
3. Personal Branding: Brinda underlines the primacy of personal branding because it is a public extension of one’s persona. It's what differentiates you from other creators and helps build an authentic connection with your audience. It involves showcasing one’s unique ideas, experience, and personality in a genuine and relatable manner. 

4. Instagram Algorithm: Lastly, the most important is understanding how the Instagram algorithm works. One can tailor their strategy to "hack" what the algorithm is prioritizing so one can reach a wider audience and grow a community of engaged users.

She finally concluded by saying: "If you want to be a successful influencer, you need to have a strong vision, maintain amicable relations with the brands, and be open to new learnings. Not only this, but one should also constantly evolve their content as per the target audience."
