In Haryana, CM is trying to give benefits of many schemes to the public. The benefit of the Chief Minister Vivah Shagun Yojana will now be provided to the differently-abled as well. This information was given by Dr Banwari Lal, Minister for Scheduled Castes and Backward Classes Welfare. He told that at the time of marriage, the amount of 51 thousand will be given to both the husband and wife when they are disabled. People can avail the scheme for one year of marriage.

Registration with the competent authority, disability for eligibility should be 40 percent and above. Banwari Lal said that earlier, people of scheduled castes and other poor sections of the society were given the benefit of Kanyadaan on the marriage of their daughters. Now, the disabled people will also get the benefit on their marriage. Now Rs 51 thousand to SC, DT, Tapparivas caste (BPL families), widows, divorced, destitute women and orphans and destitute children (income less than 1 lakh), 51 thousand rupees, SC, BC families are given Rs 11 thousand for the land of 2.5 acres and annual income less than 1 lakh rupees and Rs 31 thousand is given to women sportspersons as wedding gifts.
