New Delhi: The iconic Karizma model will be completely redesigned and unveiled in India at some point this year by Hero MotoCorp, the largest motorbike manufacturer in the country. The automaker retired the name in 2019 as a result of a sharp drop in sales. But because of how quickly the market is changing, the company has chosen to re-launch the storied nameplate with a brand-new 210cc liquid-cooled engine.
In 2003, Hero MotoCorp (then known as Hero Honda) debuted the Karizma. Its legendary 223cc, SOHC, air-cooled engine, first seen on the CRF230 model sold in the US market by its strategic partner, Honda, was the first to break the 200cc barrier for an Indian motorbike in the sports-tourer category. This year, the bike will likely return.
The future Karizma model's design is a secret, according to Hero MotoCorp. However, we anticipate the capable sports-tourer model to have an aggressive semi-faired design, all-LED lighting, a raised windscreen, split-type seats, a stubby exhaust, and a tapering rear end. The motorbike should have an instrument cluster that is semi-digital and has connectivity options, as well as stylish alloy wheels.

The brand-new Hero Karizma should have dual-channel ABS for better braking performance and disc brakes on the front and rear wheels for rider safety.
On the sports-tourer motorcycle, inverted forks on the front side and a preload-adjustable mono-shock unit on the back end would likely handle the suspension duties.

Hero MotoCorp has not yet disclosed the upcoming Karizma model's technical specifications. But we anticipate that it will be powered by a brand-new 210cc liquid-cooled engine. The motor's maximum power output is probably 25 horsepower, with a peak torque of about 30 Nm.

The brand-new Karizma's pricing and availability information will soon be finalised by Hero Motocorp. The final production version of the motorbike should show up by the end of 2023, although it is still in the early testing stages.
We anticipate that the new-generation sports-tourer model will cost more than the now-discontinued model, which had an ex-showroom starting price of Rs. 1.06 lakh (ZMR configuration).
