New Delhi: The Indian smartphone market has shipped over 46.6 million units in the third month of 2019, breaking records. The biggest company is being told to Xiaomi, whose total shipment was 1.26 crore units. Rather, the biggest drop in the list of top-5 was seen in Samsung's shipment. The data comes from the International Data Corporation (IDC) quarterly mobile phone tracker report. The biggest reason behind this is being told about India's festival season and sales of online shopping websites like Amazon and Flipkart.

According to the data, China's smartphone maker Xiaomi has been number one with shipment of 1.26 crore units. Xiaomi grew by 8.5 percent over the previous year. Xiaomi Redmi 7A and Redmi Note 7 Pro are the most shipped models. South Korea's smartphone maker Samsung, at number two, shipped 8 million units. Samsung's growth in annual shipments has shown a decline of 8.5 per cent. The mid-range segment, with an increase of 6 per cent to between Rs 15,000 and Rs 35,000, captured 18.9 per cent market share. Phones like OnePlus 7, Redmi K20 Pro and vivo V15 Pro were liked by the people. The second fastest growing segment was from 15 thousand to 21 thousand rupees. In this, smartphones like Galaxy A50, Redmi Note 7 Pro and vivo Z1 Pro have performed quite well.

The fastest growing segment ranged from 21 thousand to 35 thousand rupees, whose shipments have doubled.
