In Karnataka, the battle is now face-to-face, Yeddyurappa ready for a strength showcasing

Bengaluru: Amid the ongoing political upheaval in Karnataka, BJP President Yeddyurappa has said that he is ready to conduct a power test in the House. Yeddyurappa has said that he has no objection if the government wants to bring a confidence motion. Former Karnataka CM Yeddyurappa has said that he will wait till Monday. He said, he will meet Speaker Ramesh Kumar on Monday and ask him to come up with a confidence motion on Monday.

Kumaraswamy, CM, Karnataka has also said that his government has no crisis and will come up with a confidence motion. On the other hand, former CM Yeddyurappa has admitted that he is in touch with the rebel Congress MLAs present at the Mumbai resort and he is all happy. Yeddyurappa has said that HD Kumaraswamy should resign immediately and let the new government be formed.

Five more rebel MLAs have gone to the Supreme Court. The MLAs have complained to the court that Speaker K R Ramesh Kumar is not accepting his resignation. The MLAs include K Sudhakar, Roshan Beg, MTB Nagaraj, Muniratna and Ratna Singh. The MLAs allege that Speaker Ramesh Kumar's attitude is a violation of his constitutional and fundamental rights. In their petition, the legislators said that they are being forcibly asked to support the government otherwise they are being threatened to be disqualified.
