Each user currently covers 45 thousand community and public restrooms on Google Maps at Anore. According to media reports, these community and public toilets have been added under the 'Lu Review Campaign' of the Central Government.

According to media reports, the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs had joined hands with Google in September 2018 to launch the Lu Review campaign to enable all local guides in India to rate the rating and review of public toilets on Google Maps.

For your information, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, during her Budget speech on July 5, had mentioned the figures and said that the toilet locator feature has given the app a big boost. The app covers 45 thousand toilets in 1700 cities in India, though the Centre has not included toilets in rural areas. The campaign aims to enable all citizens to search for their city toilets on Google Maps, Google Search and Assistant sing and respond.
