At that time, the people present in the houses folded their hands and feet many times, but they did not have any mercy on anyone. In Maujpur, miscreants broke into the homes of people belonging to other factions in their area. The situation was that the housemates were folding their hands with the roofs to stop the miscreants entering the houses, but miscreants did not consider. During the uproar, the family members screamed and asked for help from the police, but no one listened to them. After this ruckus, which lasted for a long time, the police fired sticks and drove the crowd.

Instead of sending them to the hospital, the police was setting them aside. A mob ran a CAA supporter. After seeing this, information was circulated from loudspeakers about his being a CAA supporter. Then the crowd let him go somewhere.

The crowd became more aggressive after 2 pm: It is also being said that the stone-pelting started around 10 am, about 100 meters from the Maujpur metro station. At around 2 o'clock, the crowd took a more aggressive stance, when a bullet fired from a side crowd from Seelampur hit a young man's leg. He was taken to hospital in a wounded condition. Many people have suffered serious injuries in the head, feet and other parts of the body due to stone pelting.
