Shillong: With the confirmation of corona infection among twenty more people in Meghalaya, the number of infected people has reached 937 in the state on Wednesday. A senior officer gave this information. He said that 19 cases of corona infection in East Khasi Hill district and one case have been reported in West Garo Hill district.

Director of Health Services Aman Var said that 594 patients are now being treated in the state and so far 338 infected of Corona have become healthy. In the Eastern Khasi Hill District of the state, 488 patients are undergoing treatment. 51 people have been found in Ri-Bhoi, 17 in East Jaintia Hill District, 16 in West Jaintia Hill, 15 in West Garo Hill, 5 in West Khasi Hill and 2 in South Garo Hill. He further said that 4 districts - South West Khasi Hill, East, North and South West Garo Hills, are currently free from Carona infection. He further said that so far 5 infected people have died from Corona. He said that out of 488 patients undergoing treatment in East Khasi Hill District, 189 are BSF personnel, 59 are Armed Forces personnel and 240 are civilians.

The cases of corona infection are coming out in the country. More cases are being filed in India than the US and Brazil. Last day, 56,282 Corona cases have been registered, 904 people have lost their lives.
