Tom Cruise has reportedly been practising flying a World War II military plane in preparation for the battle scenes in 'Mission: Impossible 8'.

The 59-year-old actor, who is famed for executing his own stunts in his action films, was spotted flying a 1943 Boeing Stearman Model 75 at Duxford Airfield in Cambridgeshire, UK, according to sources. The plane, which has two video rigs on its wings, will be filmed chasing down another warplane.

Despite the fact that shooting on the upcoming 'Mission: Impossible 7' just ended, the star has already began work as agent Ethan Hunt for 'Mission: Impossible 8,' which isn't due out until 2023. According to The Sun's Bizarre section, a source said: "Tom began learning to fly a Boeing Stearman biplane early this year in preparation for a major stunt scene in "Mission: Impossible 8." It's obviously a highly skilled job, but he has no plans to cut costs or hire a stuntman, as is usual."

According to the source: "'Mission: Impossible 7' has only recently completed filming, but Tom has not taken a vacation. It's riskier to try to capture jaw-dropping moments with an 80-year-old plane." The cruise will also be flying planes in 'Top Gun: Maverick,' and has previously stated that there has "never been" an aerial scenario like the one in the film, which is a sequel to the 1986 hit 'Top Gun.'
