In Nainital village, an elephant attacks 6 women, one gets serious injuries

Nainital:An elephant battered six women in the Amdanda Khatta village of Nainital district, India. According to reports, one woman was chased by the jumbo, which tried to crush another woman. 3 women were rushed to the hospital, and all three were rescued.

According to the statement by Ranger Binder Pal, “these women were driving to collect cattle fodder for cattle in Bijrani Zone when they encountered an elephant who was enraged by their presence. One woman was chased by the jumbo, which attempted to crush another woman. After making some noise, the elephant ran away”.  According to the forest staff of the Corbett Tiger Reserve, patrolling has been expanded in the forest. The Corbett administration has also cautioned people to avoid the woods.

All victims are out of danger and their treatment is going on, Patrolling in the forest has been increased, as per the forest personnel of the Corbett Tiger Reserve. Corbett Administration has also appealed to people to not go into the forest.
