In the meantime, the news is coming from Pakistan in which the Hindu community in Pakistan's Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has decided to demolish a century-old temple and pardon the fire mob. A meeting was held on Saturday by local clerics and members of the Hindu community to resolve the quarrel. The culprits have apologized for the attack on the temple and another similar incident that took place in 1997.

The Hindu community has decided to pardon the culprits. Both sides have reached a consensus. The clerics have assured full security to Hindus and their rights, according to the constitution of the country. The conciliation in the meeting will now be presented to the Supreme Court to release the culprits from arrest. The conciliation statement will be filed in the Supreme Court. On December 30 last year, a mob led by some local clerics and members of the radical Islamist party Jamuyat Ulema-e-Islam had ransacked the temple and the nearby 'Samadhi' site.

The incident took place in Terry village in the city of Karak in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. About 50 persons have been arrested in the case. A video of the incident also went viral on social media. Talking to the media after a meeting with the local ulema, chairman of the Pakistan Hindu Council Ramesh Kumar said that the matter has hurt the sentiments of Hindus around the world. Kumar said that CM Mahmood Khan of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa presided over the 'Jirga' proceedings. Thank them for settling the case amicably.
