Recently wedded Zaheer Khan and Sagarika Ghatge spotted at the Mahalakshmi Temple in Kolhapur to have the blessings of the Goddess. The former India speedster chose for a simple white kurta-pyjama while his spouse appeared in a resplendent in a traditional red saree. Zaheer and Sagarika had a mere register marriage on November 23. Ajit Agarkar and his wife Fatima Ghadially, Abhishek Kapoor and Pragya Yadav and Akash Ambani were among the visitors who had attended the bash. The two did not face any opposition from their respective families when they decided to get married to each other. The couple's parents were supportive of their decision and the marriage was celebrated in their presence. The wedding was a very isolated affair with just a handful of guests in attendance.

Meanwhile, at the time of conversation a few weeks after, Sagarika reportedly told, “My parents are also open-minded and their primary interest was that I marry the right person. I am sure they may have had their beliefs, but after meeting him, it cleared a lot of things for them. He is perfect.”Zaheer’s family too supported him in his decision. He reportedly told, “"We didn't face any such problems. Both our families are developed enough to understand that it's about marrying the right person over marrying into the same religion. It's important to be a good human being."
