HYDERABAD: On Wednesday, a helicopter from the Indian Air Force (IAF) made an emergency landing in a village in Telangana's Siddipet district.

Due to a technical issue, the helicopter (ZA449) had to land in the fields of Jagadevpur hamlet. Both of the chopper's pilots were unharmed.

On a training mission, the helicopter from the Air Force Academy at Hakimpet, on the outskirts of Hyderabad, developed a mechanical problem. As a large crowd of interested locals gathered near the chopper, police went to the scene and provided protection.

The pilots alerted an officer at the Air Force Academy, who dispatched another chopper with technicians to the emergency landing spot. Both helicopters were returned to the IAF Academy after being repaired.
