In Manipur, voting for the first phase of elections has started in 38 Assembly seats. In the first phase of Manipur elections, 8.94 percent of eligible voters cast ballots until 9:30 a.m.

On Monday, voting for the first phase of the Manipur elections commenced at 7:00 a.m. On Monday, the fate of up to 173 applicants, including 15 women, will be decided. At 1721 polling places throughout Manipur, voters are casting their ballots in the first round of the election.

There are a total of 12,22,713 voters in the first round of Manipur elections, including 29,276 women. Manipur's chief minister, Biren Singh, urged residents to use their right to vote.

"I appeal to the people of my constituency, as well as all other voters, to cast their votes and exercise the democratic authority conferred by the Constitution," Manipur Chief Minister Biren Singh stated. "I expect 75 percent of people in my constituency to vote for the BJP and me," Manipur Chief Minister Biren Singh said.

"The BJP hopes to win at least 30 of the 38 seats in the first round." PM Modi is popular in Manipur, he noted. Governor La Ganesan of Manipur also voted in Imphal's Tamphasana Girls' Higher Secondary School. "I appeal to all Manipuris to utilise their franchise," he continued, "because democracy is prevailing in our nation, and election is a manifestation of democracy." Meanwhile, Y Joykumar Singh, Manipur deputy chief minister and NPP candidate from Uripok, voted in Imphal's Naoremthong Upper Primary School.
