Meanwhile, Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut has been served a notice by the ED. Raut has been summoned by the Enforcement Directorate today in connection with the land scam case.  

Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut has sought time from the investigating agency after he was summoned by the Enforcement Directorate in a land scam. In fact, the Enforcement Directorate summoned Sanjay Raut on Monday. He was summoned to the Enforcement Directorate office today for questioning. However, the advocate was produced at the Enforcement Directorate office on behalf of Sanjay Raut. He is said to be seeking a further date for questioning.  

CM Uddhav Thackeray has called a cabinet meeting at 2.30 pm today. At the same time, the BJP may make rebel Eknath Shinde the deputy chief minister. Media reports have claimed that 8 MLAs of the Shinde faction may be made cabinet ministers and 5 ministers of state. Amidst the ongoing political turmoil in Maharashtra, the BJP has started the exercise to form the government. According to media reports, the BJP and Shinde factions can stake claims to form the government together. However, there is still a churning going on over the ministerial post. Eight MLAs from the Shinde faction are likely to join the cabinet. Five ministers of state can be made there.
