However, there has been no official confirmation from the film's producers. And now, according to new reports, Samantha Akkinani is going to replace Nayanthara in the project.

According to a report by the Times of India, the director told Samantha a story. The magisli act has also liked the film's story, but due to prior commitments, Sam has rejected the proposal. Samantha is just speculation in Aram-2. The film was to be made by Nayantara earlier, but now, the Makers are looking for a new female lead.
Nayantara is currently busy in the court of Vijay's Biggil, Rajnikant. Nayantara is also part of Chiranjeevi's ambitious period drama Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy. The film also stars Bollywood's great-grandfather Amitabh Bachchan.
