'Vaccination Express' is an initiative of the state government in partnership with Care India, an international non-profit organization working on public health, to provide door-to-door vaccinations across the state of Manipur. On Monday, Chief Minister N Biren Singh flagged off fifteen 'COVID-19 Vaccination Express' equipped with all necessary facilities. Fifteen vans and 20 trained personnel were sent to Imphal West district. Speaking on the occasion, N Biren Singh urged the public to get vaccinated voluntarily and to avoid any misinformation regarding the efficacy of vaccines. He said that about 97-98 per cent of those who died of COVID-19 in the recent past were illiterate persons.

Expressing the importance of complete immunization across the state to overcome the pandemic, he appealed to local clubs and social organizations to support the immunization program to inform local people who are yet to be vaccinated and to help them. It is encouraged to get vaccinated as soon as possible. The Chief Minister also thanked Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi for his concern towards the state and the initiative of free vaccination to every citizen.
