New Delhi: The Income Tax Department has taken a major action against senior Haryana Congress leader Kuldeep Bashley. In a raid on Bishnoi's hideouts in the past, the Income Tax Department had unearthed his Rs 200-crore black property. The Income Tax Department has now confiscated his 150 crore rupees Benami property.
The income tax department has sealed Kuldeep Vishnoi's Gurugram hotel. The action was taken on behalf of the Benami Prohibition Unit (BPU) of the Delhi Income Tax Department. As per the information received, the Benami property is in the name of Bright Star Hotel Private Limited Company. The company has 34 percent stake in a front company registered with the British Virgin Islands (BVI).
It operates from the United Arab Emirates. The investigation revealed that the benami property belonged to Kuldeep Bsinoi and Chander Mohan. In July, the Income Tax Department had unearthed a secret foreign property worth over Rs 200 crore after the Income Tax Department conducted raids against senior Haryana Congress leader Kuldeep Bishnoi and his family.
