The Income Department has launched search operations on two groups in several states. The first group is engaged in digital marketing campaign management, in which search operations have been conducted at 7 premises in Bengaluru, Surat, Chandigarh, Mohali. Objectionable witnesses found have revealed that the group is engaged in obtaining accommodation entry using an entry operator. The department said in a statement that the entry operator has facilitated the transfer of cash unaccounted income of the group through operators.

The same expenditure has also been detected for low entry of inflation revenue. The group has also been found to be indulging in unaccounted cash payments. The department said they also found that the personal expenses of the directors were shown as business expenses in the accounts. The directors have been purchased in the name of vehicle employee entry providers used by their family members.

The second group explored is engaged in solid waste management, which includes solid waste collection, transportation, processing disposal services across the country. All the objectionable documents have been recovered due to the search. The evidence received shows that the group has expressed its involvement in booking fake bills for sub-contracts. The initial estimate of such fake mules booked is Rs.70 crores.
