Friday, due to increasing demand from stockists and bulk consumers, small sugar prices firmed up and about at the Vashi wholesale market. While, medium sugar improved a little following mild off take from retailers.
Small sugar (S-30) surged by Rs 10/1 per quintal to Rs 3,562/3,666 from Thursday's close Rs 3,552/3,665 previously. Medium sugar (M-30) edged up by Rs 2 per quintal to Rs 3,642/3,772 from Rs 3,640/3,772 yesterday.
Medium sugar (M-30) quality: Rs 3,642/3,772 (Rs 3,640/3,772). Small sugar (S-30) quality: Rs 3,562/3,666 (Rs 3,552/3,665).
