The list price of the HP’s product including printing and personal computers is increased by the HP Company by 3 to 5 percent. This increase in price is announced on Friday this week. This step is taking by the company to adjust the currency movement and commodity prices globally. Indian market is facing this increase to the major extent.

"HP is increasing the list price of its products in India. As a standard business practice, the company regularly reviews pricing and makes adjustments accordingly, based on a variety of factors including currency movement and commodities prices. Actual price increases will vary by product," Rajiv Srivastava, Managing Director, HP Inc. India told IANS.

HP is securing top place in the Indian Market for its personal computers, with the market share of 28.8 percent. And according to the recent report in 2016 HP grew up to 18.9 percent.

"Our unwavering commitment towards delivering amazing products and solutions to consumers and businesses that empower them to succeed in this digital age has helped us sustain the market leadership," Ketan Patel, Senior Director, Personal Systems, HP India, had told IANS.

Earlier this week, HP announced to make a Z2 Mini “world’s first workstation” in India. This workstation is designed for users in Computer Aided Design (CAD) and other compute-intensive industries. This workstation is available in India at a cost of Rs. 72000 from January 25, 2017.

"Designed for the work space of the future, HP Z2 Mini Workstation is remarkably versatile and it showcases next level power by offering twice the power of a business-class mini PC, a key for designers," Patel added.
