The military-level dialogue between the two countries is underway as part of efforts to reduce tensions at the border between India and China. Meanwhile, the Chinese military has refused to remove its troops and trains from Gogra and Hot Springs in eastern Ladakh.

This harsh attitude from China came in February after the consent to withdraw troops at both levels on the Pangong Lake sector. A top source in the Indian Army's 14 corps told the media yesterday that the 11th round of talks between the two countries was held in which harshness in place of softening towards China was shown. The 11th round of military-level meetings between the two countries lasted for nearly 13 hours and was held after the crucial meeting in which the withdrawal of troops from the disputed Pangong Lake was agreed to reduce Ladakh deadlock. The occupants are positioned at a post located at a distance of only 10 meters from each other. The talks were held on 20 February.

The satellite image revealed that the Chinese army retreated into the Fingers complex on the northern shore of Giant Lake. However, China is still adamant about the Gogra and Hot Springs regions. This is important for both. India had proposed a similar phased reduction of border troops and vehicles in both these posts but was turned down by China.
