New Delhi: On the second fourth day of the first Test being played between India and South Africa, India has declared an innings by scoring 323 runs in their second innings at the loss of 4 wickets in 67 overs. South Africa have a target of 395 runs to win. By the end of the second day's play, the visiting team had scored 11 runs at the loss of 1 wicket. Chasing a target of 395 runs, the South African team got the first blow on the total score of 4, when the first innings century Dean Elgar was just 2 runs and Lbw was out off Jadeja.

After scoring 502 runs in the first innings, India declared the second innings at 323/4. After this, South Africa now have to score 395 runs in more than 100 overs, while India need ten wickets. In the second innings for India, Rohit Sharma scored a century and Cheteshwar Pujara hit a half-century. Virat Kohli 31 and Rahane 27 runs unbeaten for Team India.

India suffered a fourth setback as Ravindra Jadeja. Ravindra Jadeja, who came out to bat before Virat Kohli, was dismissed for 40 runs with the help of 3 sixes in 32 balls which was bowled clean by Kagiso Rabada. Rohit Sharma, who was dismissed for 176 in the first innings, also scored a century in the second innings. Hitman became the victim of Keshav Maharaj by scoring 127 runs in 149 balls. Rohit was also stumped off Maharaj by Quinton Dickock in the second innings. Rohit hit 10 fours and 7 sixes in this innings.
