Ranchi: In the Test series played between India and South Africa, fast bowler Umesh Yadav has done a bang. Umesh, who sat out of the first Test, wrote about Team India's victory in the last two matches. Umesh became the first Indian fast bowler to take three or more wickets in five consecutive innings while playing at home. Umesh Yadav also took wickets after scoring sixes in the first innings in the third and final Test of the series being played between India and South African in Ranchi.

India piled up South Africa's first innings for just 162 runs and Umesh contributed significantly. He took 3 wickets for 40 runs in 9 overs in the first innings. India followed South Africa for the second consecutive time in the series. Umesh Yadav has bowled brilliantly in the last five consecutive innings of Test matches played at home. He emerged as the star in India's innings victory against South Africa and the West Indies. In Hyderabad against West Indies, Umesh took 6 wickets in the first innings and 4 wickets in the second. After this, now against South Africa, he took 3-3 wickets in Pune and also three wickets in the first innings in Ranchi.
