New Delhi: Shikhar Dhawan-led Team India will tour Sri Lanka next month. The Indian team will play an ODI and T20 series against Sri Lanka. But before going on a tour of Sri Lanka, the Indian cricket team will have to remain quarantined for 14 days in their own country. The quarantine will begin from June 14 (Monday).

Later, when Team India reach Colombo, it will have to remain in isolation for seven days. Shikhar Dhawan's team will play three intra-squad matches in Colombo for practice before the series after separation. Talking to media, BCCI source said, "The new thing is that the Sri Lankan Board has ensured that the Indian players wanted to play some practice matches before the series started. But these intra squad matches will be played in view of the Corona virus. The match will not be against Sri Lanka A".

The source further said that the Indian players wanted to play some warm-up matches with the Sri Lanka A team. But this is not possible because of the Covid 19 guidelines. But it was then recommended by the BCCI to play an intra squad match. After which Team India will play one T20 match and 2 ODIs intra squad match to prepare before the series.
