First match of T20 series between India and West Indies to be played today

Lauderhill: The first T20 series between India and the West Indies will be played at the Central Broward Regional Park Stadium in Florida at 8 PM Indian Time tonight. The two teams have played 11 matches so far in the T20 match played between the two teams. Out of which India have won 5 matches, West Indies have won the same matches, while one match has not yielded any results.

Young players have been given a special chance in this series. Manish Pandey, Shreyas Iyer and Khalil Ahmed are likely to get a chance in this series. The three players have excelled in the West Indies for India-A and will be hoping to leave their mark on the captain and selectors for the future by performing well in the upcoming series.

Rahul Chahar and Navdeep Saini can also enter international cricket through this series as many senior bowlers have been rested. Bhuvneshwar Kumar is the only senior bowler in the team selected for the West Indies round.

Indian team - Virat Kohli (captain), Rohit Sharma (upkeep), Shikhar Dhawan, Lokesh Rahul, Shreyas Iyer, Manish Pandey, Rishabh Pant (wicketkeeper), Krunal Pandya, Ravindra Jadeja, Washington Sundar, Rahul Chahar, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Khalil Ahmed, Deepak Chahar, Navdeep Saini.

West Indies team - John Campbell, Evin Lewis, Shimron Hetmeyer, Nicholas Puran, Kieron Pollard, Roveman Powell, Carlos Brathwaite (captain), Kimo Paul, Sunil Naren, Sheldon Cotterell, Oshane Thomas, Anthony Brambley, Jason Mohamed, Khayre Pierre.
