In his First test, Debutant Prithvi Shaw slammed 100 in the first innings against West Indies. Currently, India is 174 for 1.Harsha Bhogle the well-known cricket commenter loaded the appreciation right-hand batsman as saying that he is the player who scored Hundred on Ranji debut, hundred on Duleep debut and  hundred on Test debut. Debutant Prithvi Shaw scripted a history on the first day of the ongoing Rajkot Test against West Indies as he became the youngest Indian to score a tremendous ton on his debut match with help of 99 balls. Earlier the teenager reached the milestone of half century in 56th ball with a single off Roston Chase.

The right-handed batsman has shown positive intent and looks to be comfortable while facing both pace and spin.

Taken as a whole, Shaw is the third-youngest batsman to score a fifty in Test cricket for India. In this list Master blaster, Sachin Tendulkar has its name on top who scored his first half-century in his debut series against Pakistan in 1989 against Pakistan, aged 16 years and 214 days. Parthiv Patel who comes next in the list had scored his maiden 50 against Australia at SCG in 2004. Shaw comes third in the list followed by now India's head coach Ravi Shastri and Dinesh Karthik.

India had not started well to the first Test of the series of two matches as they lost their first wicket on a score of 3 with KL Rahul who went to the pavilion on the duck. Shanon Gabriel is the man who forced him to go back. The right-handed batsman took a review but the replays showed that the on-field umpire had given a correct decision.
