New Delhi: The ODI series between India and Zimbabwe is going to start from August 18. Team India, under the leadership of captain KL Rahul, is practising in Harare and now it is the turn of the ODI series. But, before this, there is also a matter of concern for the Indian team, team India has changed due to the absence of injured Washington Sundar.  

Just before the first ODI match, Washington Sundar's replacement has now been included in the Indian team. All-rounder Shahbaz Ahmed has been included in the team in his place, Shahbaz recently performed well in IPL-2022. In a press release by the BCCI, it has been informed that the All India Senior Selection Committee has included Shahbaz Ahmed in team India's squad in place of Washington Sundar. Washington Sundar, who suffered a shoulder injury while playing county cricket in England, has been ruled out of the ODI series due to injury.  

The 27-year-old Shahbaz Ahmed, who plays for Bengal in domestic cricket, has impressed everyone with his performances of late. In domestic cricket, he has 1041 runs in 18 matches, while his batting average is 41.64. Shahbaz has also taken 57 wickets. Shahbaz, who played for Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in IPL 2022, scored 219 runs in 16 matches and also took 4 wickets. Shahbaz also played many small but fast and important innings for his team in IPL 2022.
