Bhopal: RTO employees from all over Madhya Pradesh including Bhopal will go on indefinite strike from today. The transport department, Madhya Pradesh officials, and joint organizations of employees, have declared an indefinite strike in the meeting on Tuesday after several years of demand has not been adhered to. A memorandum in this regard has been submitted to the Transport Commissioner and to meet his legitimate demand at the governance level.

Officials, Employees Association told the media that the target for the financial year has been achieved despite adverse conditions in 2020 and 2021 from coronavirus. Even then, the authorities ignored the order of the government and the act and rules of the transport department and criminal cases were registered against the officers and employees of the department. While the government has ordered that no can be approved on the public servant without an inquiry. The employees union said that the work done by the transport authorities is quasi-judicial in nature in view of which protection was sought, but that too was not considered.

The employees said that an FIR has been registered against the existing district transport officers Tikamgarh, Raisen, and the retired Deputy Transport Commissioner for demanding acts and orders of governance. This is opposed by the Transport Officers and Employees Union. This is also the immediate cause of the strike.
