New Delhi: After resuming online visa application services for people of Bangladesh amidst the global epidemic coronavirus, India is now going to start air service between the two neighboring countries on October 28 under bilateral arrangements. India stopped these flights about 8 months ago fearing the spread of the virus.

These flights will connect 5 Indian cities to Dhaka. On this, the Indian High Commission in Dhaka also tweeted on Saturday. On Sunday, Civil Aviation Authority Bangladesh (CAAB) chief Air Vice Marshal M. Mafidur Rahman said that initially, about 5,000 passengers from both countries will be able to fly every week. On the other hand, passengers will not have the facility to fly to any third country. With this, it will be compulsory for passengers to undergo a corona test before taking flight.

Earlier on 9 October, the Indian High Commission in Bangladesh announced the resumption of online visa application services for Bangladeshi nationals, under which now, visas will be given in nine categories including medical, business, employment, journalist diplomats. Three airline companies of Bangladesh will operate 28 flights in a week, while 5 Indian airline companies will also operate the same number of flights.
