New Delhi: India has become the third country to report 1.5 lakh deaths due to Coronavirus epidemic on Wednesday. According to the latest data shared by the Union Home Ministry, the number of deaths in the country has increased to 1,50,114 with 264 new deaths in the last 24 hours.
According to the Worldometer, the United States has recorded the highest number of deaths in the world at 3,65,620, followed by Brazil with 1,97,777 deaths from the disease. Cases of death, along with daily caseloads, are declining in India for the last few weeks. The country reported 16,375 new cases of coronavirus on Tuesday, its lowest in six months. On Wednesday, the active case load remained below three lakh for the 16th day. According to an update from the Ministry of Health, India's active case load is 2,27,546.
According to the data released by the Union Health Ministry, India's Coronavirus caseload reached 18,088 new infections in a day, updated on Wednesday, to 1,03,74,932, while the recovery is around one crore. The Indian government is working fast on vaccination of corona, recently a dry run of the vaccine has been completed.
