Kochi: Every section of the country suffers due to corona. One such change was witnessed in a covid ward in Alappuzha, Kerala, where a couple tied the knot and the bride was seen wearing PPE kit, not in a traditional couple, as the groom is infected with corona and is undergoing treatment.

Sarath Som and Abhiram's wedding was scheduled to take place on April 25, but just a few days before the wedding, Sarath, who was working abroad, reported corona positive. His mother was later found to be infected with corona. Both Sarath and his mother Jijimol were admitted to the Covid ward of Alappuzha Medical College, but in the meantime, the boy and girl decided not to allow the problem to come in the way of their plans.

The same two conveyed their wishes to their families, family and relatives finally agreed to get married on April 25. Thereafter, after obtaining necessary clearance from the District Collector and other concerned officers, the marriage was held within the Covid Ward. The bride and a relative came inside the covid ward in a PPE kit and the groom's mother handed over the garland to the couple. The same corona cases in Kerala have started increasing rapidly. The cases of corona are registering an increase every day in the last 10 days. Amidst the increasing cases of corona, the Kerala government has decided to impose lockdown-like restrictions in the state.
