This point has been pointed out by US-India Business Council President Nisha Biswal. Biswal says that India can attract investment by taking advantage of the US-China trade war. She also said that India will have to do a lot to attract investment.
Talking to news agency ANI on the sidelines of the Indian Ocean Conference, Biswal said that India is currently facing challenges related to the economy and companies are reluctant to invest in China. Nisha Biswal said that "we are all in a global environment where we are witnessing the economic crisis in the major economies of the world, so it is not surprising that India is also facing some challenges."
"I think India can also benefit from this global environment where companies are reluctant to invest in China due to the US-China trade war. They should look towards India to solve this problem, but they are not as ambitious. India needs to do more to attract those companies."
