There is an atmosphere of anger about the nefarious activities of China. Today, we are going to tell you about the Galwan valley of Ladakh. The forces of India and China are face to face in the Galwan Valley of Ladakh, situated at an altitude of about 14 thousand feet. This valley falls in the Aksai China area. In the war between India and China from 1962 to 1975, Galwan Valley has been at the center. And now after 45 years, the situation in the valley has deteriorated again.

Galwan Valley was named after Ghulam Rasool Galwan, a shepherd from Ladakh. In the book named Servant of Sahib, Ghulam Rasool has described the boundary between twentieth-century British India and the Chinese Empire. Ghulam Rasool Galwan was born in 1878. Ghulam Rasool had a passion for finding new places since childhood. Because of this passion, Ghulam Rasool became the favorite guide of the British. The British also liked the area of Ladakh. Ghulam Rasool started trekking from Leh in 1899 and reached many new areas around Ladakh. Ghulam Rasool Galwan extended his reach to Galwan Valley. This river and valley was named after Ghulam Rasool Galwan.

Ghulam Rasool Galwan joined the company of Sir Francis Younghusband, called Adventure Traveller, at a very young age. Sir Francis discovered the Tibetan Plateau, the Palmer Mountains and Deserts of Central Asia. While staying with the British, Ghulam Rasool also learned to speak English, read and write to some extent. The book named 'Servant of Sahibs' wrote in broken English language. However, the initial part of this book was written by Sir Francis Younghusband. Chamsa on Leh is home to Ghulam Rasool's ancestors on the Yortung Circular Road. There is also a Galwan guest house named after him.
