New Delhi: India has achieved a major milestone in the field of corona vaccination. The country has crossed the 100 crore dose of the corona vaccine on October 21, 2021. India achieved this milestone in 279 days. Accordingly, on average, 2.7 million people were given corona vaccine doses every day. Three-quarters of our country's population has taken at least one dose of the corona vaccine. On the other hand, there is about 30 per cent of the citizens have taken both doses.

The Union Health Ministry has also reviewed the pace of corona vaccination with all states and Union Territories. Instructions have been issued that the focus should now be on giving second doses to the people. The Centre has also sought their views from all states on international visits. Many States have enough corona vaccines to give second doses to the people. Special attention has been directed in districts where the immunization rate is low. However, vaccination of 100 crores was a big challenge in such a big country, as in a country that followed ideals like 'Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam' and 'Sarve Santu Niramaya,' the government was constantly being asked which country would give India the vaccine. But India itself produced not one but two vaccines and every village and city were set up for vaccination.

There are only two countries India and China in the world which have a population of more than 100 crores, so these two countries will be at the forefront of giving corona vaccine dose to the highest population. India has broken the myth that rich countries will vaccinate their people first, then other countries will have to wait for them to give a dose of vaccine. As a 'vaccine friendship,' India has also helped 95 countries by sending 6.64 crore doses. Today, India has again shown the world that it treats the whole world as a family and is always ready to help everyone.
