India Corona updates: New corona cases fall marginally, but death toll still 4000

New Delhi: The outbreak of corona infection has already decreased in some states of the country, but the threat is still rampant. The epidemic is killing nearly four thousand people every day. According to the latest data released by the Health Ministry, 343,144 new corona cases have been registered and 4,000 infected people have died in the last 24 hours. However, 344,776 people have also recovered from corona.

A day earlier, 362,727 new cases were registered on Wednesday. As of May 13, 1792 lakh 98 thousand 584 corona doses have been administered across the country. The last day, 20 lakh 27 thousand 162 vaccines have been administered. More than 31.13 crore corona tests have been conducted so far. The previous day, 18.75 lakh corona sample tests were conducted, with a positivity rate of more than 18 per cent. The country has a corona mortality rate of 1.09 per cent, while the recovery rate is more than 83 per cent. Active cases have come down to about 16 percent.

Maharashtra has registered 42,582 new corona cases yesterday, while 850 more people have lost their lives due to infection. The total number of infected people has gone up to 52,69,293 after the new cases, while the death toll has reached 78,857.
