India corona Updates: 1,033 new cases, 43 deaths in last 24-hrs

India has registered 1,033 new cases of the novel coronavirus, and 43 deaths in the last 24 hours. According to data released by the Union Health Ministry on Thursday (April 7), the country saw 1,222 discharges in the previous 24 hours, bringing the total recovery rate to around 98.76 percent and total recoveries to 4,24,98,789. The overall number of active COVID-19 cases in India has decreased to 11,639 (0.03 percent). Today's daily positivity rate is 0.23 percent.

The country's total death toll today stands at 5,21,530. The first death from the COVID epidemic was recorded in India in March 2020.

Up to April 6, 79,25,09,451 samples had been tested for COVID-19, according to the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR). On Wednesday, 4,82,039 of these samples were examined.

Meanwhile, the XE type of coronavirus was first detected in India on Wednesday in Mumbai. According to BMC officials, a case of the Kappa variant was also found during a serosurvey. Last month, this variant triggered a sharp increase in new Covid-19 cases in Europe and China. The XE variation, often known as a "recombinant," is a mutation of the BA.1 and BA.2 Omicron strains.

Those who have been vaccinated and those who have not have varied symptoms from this new variation. Fever, sore throat, scratchy throat, cough and cold, skin irritation and discoloration, gastrointestinal trouble, and other symptoms are common. Fatigue, disorientation, headaches, sore throat, muscle discomfort, and fever are the first symptoms.
