New Delhi: 40,120 new cases of corona infection have been reported in the country, with the number of active cases increasing to more than 3.85 lakh. According to a report released by the Health Ministry, corona patients in the country have 395277 active cases, the lowest since March 2020. There are 1.20 percent active cases in the total cases of the corona. There have been 585 patients who died in the last 24 hours.

On the other hand, when it comes to positivity rates, the weekly positivity rate is less than 5 percent. The positivity rate is currently 2.13 percent. In addition, the daily positivity rate is 2.04 percent, which is 3 percent lower than the last 19 days. The recovery rate has also improved a lot. The country has achieved the highest recovery rate ever, up from 97.46 percent. A total of 3,13,02,345 people across the country have recovered from corona so far. There have been 42,295 recovering people in the last 24 hours.

With this, 48.94 crore corona tests have been conducted in the country so far. Earlier, the Union Health Ministry said on Thursday that the total dose of corona vaccine administered so far in the country has crossed the 52.89 crore mark. According to an interim report of 7 p.m., more than 5million (50,77,491) doses were granted on Thursday. The ministry said that on Thursday, 27,83,649 people in the age group of 18 to 44 years were given the first dose and 4,85,193 were given the second dose.
