New Delhi: The havoc of corona infection in the country is constantly increasing. 2,17,353 new cases have been registered in the last 24 hours. This information has been given by the Ministry of Health. According to the Health Ministry data, 1185 people have also died due to corona infection in the country in the last 24 hours. This is the second consecutive day that more than two lakh new cases of corona have been reported in the country.

Earlier, as of yesterday morning's update, 2,00,739 new cases were registered and 1,038 people also died. However, after the latest update, the number of people who died of corona in India has now increased to one lakh 74 thousand 308. At the same time, active cases have also increased to 15 lakh 69 thousand 743. A total of one crore of 42 lakh 91 thousand 917 people have been caught in Corona so far in India. In this, one crore 25 lakh 47 thousand 866 people have also been recovered from Corona. In the last 24 hours, 1 lakh 18 thousand 302 people have also been discharged from hospitals.

Maharashtra recorded the highest number of 61,695 new cases of corona infection on Thursday. This is the second-highest number of new cases reported on the day of covid-19. Earlier, on April 11, 63,294 cases were reported. At the same time, 349 people also died of this disease. With this, the number of dead in Maharashtra has increased to 59,153.
