New Delhi: 42,015 people were found to be corona patients in India on Tuesday. After which the total number of infected cases in the country has gone up to 3,12,16,337. Meanwhile, the total death toll after 3,998 new deaths has risen to 4,18,480. The number of patients recovering in the last 24 hours is less than that of newly infected patients.
According to health ministry data, a total of 36,977 patients have recovered in the last 24 hours, taking the total number of recoveries to 3,03,90,687. The total number of active cases in the country at present is 4,07,170. On the other hand, the daily positivity rate is 2.27 percent, which has remained at less than 3 percent for the last 30 days. The country has received 34,25,446 coronavirus vaccines in the last 24 hours, followed by a total vaccination figure of 41,54,72,455. In the total new cases across the country, 77.89 percent of the cases have come from only 5 states. On the other hand, 40.1 percent of the cases come from Kerala alone.
Kerala has reported the highest number of cases on Tuesday when it comes to the newest cases. Maharashtra stood second in the case, but they've also registered an increase in new corona cases as compared to Monday. Kerala recorded 16,848 corona cases in the last 24 hours. Meanwhile, 9,389 new cases were found in Maharashtra, which was around 6,000 on Monday.
