New Delhi: To avoid the deadly outbreak of the corona epidemic, PM Modi announced a countrywide lockdown on this day last year. But the virus has not yet ended. Infection cases are once again increasing rapidly. More than 47,000 corona cases have been recorded for the first time after 132 days.

According to the latest health ministry report, 47,262 new corona cases have been registered and 275 people have lost their lives in the past 24 hours. However, 23,907 people have also recovered from the corona. Earlier, 47,905 corona cases were registered on November 11, 2020. There was a time when corona infections in the country started decreasing. On February 1 this year, 8,635 new corona cases were reported. This number of corona cases in a day is the lowest this year.

India has already given a total of 58 million vaccine supplements till the 67th day of corona vaccination in the country on Tuesday. These include more than 79 lakh health workers who have taken the first dose and more than 50 lakh have taken the second dose. At the same time, 83 lakh 33 thousand frontline workers took the first dose, and 30 lakh 60 thousand took the second. A total of 2 crore beneficiaries above the age of 60 years and nearly 50 lakh beneficiaries above the age of 45 have taken the dose. A total of 23.46 lakh vaccine doses were given on the last day.
