New Delhi: 3.68 lakh new corona cases have been reported in the country in the last 24 hours. After which the number of active corona cases in India has increased to over 34 lakh. While 3,417 patients have died in the last 24 hours due to the corona epidemic. Many hospitals are running out of beds and oxygen amid the uncontrollable pace of corona infection in India.
According to the Union Health Ministry, 3,68,147 new corona cases have been registered in the last 24 hours. While 3,417 covid patients have succumbed to their injuries. On the other hand, 3,00,732 corona patients have been cured/discharged in the last 24 hours. The lockdown period has been extended in the national capital Delhi and neighbouring Haryana in view of the increasing cases of corona. In Odisha, a full lockdown has also been declared for 14 days i.e. from May 5 to May 19.
In Haryana, a seven-day lockdown will be implemented across the state from May 3. While the corona infection situation in Delhi remains critical, the CM has extended the lockdown ending may 3 for another week. Delhi has claimed 407 lives from corona on Sunday, while more than 20,000 new cases have also been reported. Corona infection rate in the capital Delhi has reached 28.33 per cent
