New Delhi: 42,909 new cases of coronavirus infection have been registered in the country and 380 people have died. In the last 24 hours, 34,763 people have also recovered from infection. According to new data from the Union Health Ministry, the total number of infected cases has increased to 3.27 crore since the new cases came in, with nearly 3.19 crore people recovering. The recovery rate in the country is 97.51 percent. The number of active cases in the country has increased to 3,76,324, which is 1.15 percent of the total cases of infection.

According to the Health Ministry, coronavirus infection has so far killed 438,210 people in the country, up 1.34 percent of the total cases. The transition rate in new cases was recorded at 3.02 percent. The weekly positivity rate is currently 2.41 percent. According to the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), 14,19,990 samples were tested across the country on Sunday. More than 520 million samples have been tested so far since the outbreak of the epidemic in the country.

63.43 crore doses of the coronavirus vaccine have been administered in the country so far. According to the Health Ministry, 31.14 lakh doses were administered across the country on Sunday. So far, 48.85 crore people in the country have been administered both the first dose, and 14.58 crore people have been administered both doses. Uttar Pradesh (7.04 crore doses) followed by Maharashtra (5.71 crore doses) has been the highest immunization in the country.
