New Delhi: Coronavirus cases are on the rise in the country. More than 4 lakh new cases of the corona epidemic have been registered in India once again. These are the highest cases ever reported in the last 24 hours. According to data released by the Health Ministry, the total number of positive cases has gone up to 2,10,77,410 after 4,12,262 new corona cases were registered in the last 24 hours. The total number of deaths has gone up to 2,30,168 after 3,980 new deaths.

The total number of active cases in the country is 35,66,398 and the total number of discharged cases is 1,72,80,844. On the one hand, the country is constantly reeling under another wave of the corona. Meanwhile, preparations for the third wave are now set to begin amidst the havoc. On Wednesday, Chief Scientific Advisor to the Central Government K Vijay Raghavan said that the third wave of the corona is also coming up in the country. He has further said that he does not know when the third wave will come. In a press conference, the Health Department said that it was not anticipated that the second wave of the corona would be so frightening and long.

Scientific advisor K Vijay Raghavan has also said that the strain of the virus is spreading at the speed of the first strain. He also said that vaccines are effective against existing variants. New variants will come up in the country and the world. After this wave is over, the virus may get a chance to spread back.
