New Delhi: According to data released by the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, the total number of positive cases has increased to 1,09,77,387 after 13,993 new cases of coronavirus were reported in India in the last 24 hours. With this, after 101 new deaths, the total number of people who died from this epidemic has increased to 1,56,212.

The total number of active cases in the country now stands at 1,43,127 and the number of healthy discharged people is 1,06,78,048. At the same time, a total of 1,07,15,204 people have been vaccinated under the corona vaccination, which started in the country on January 16. The Ministry of Health said that on February 18, the maximum number of vaccinations was done in a single day. On Thursday, 6,58,674 doses of vaccine were given, while a total of 1,04,49,942 vaccines have been administered till 6 pm on Friday. Health workers have been given 70,52,845 doses, of which the first dose has been given to 62,95,903 beneficiaries, the second dose to 7,56,942 beneficiaries. So far 33,97,097 front-line workers have been vaccinated.

According to the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), a total of 21,02,61,480 samples have been tested for coronavirus in India till Friday (18 February), of which 7,86,618 samples have been tested yesterday. According to the state health department, 6,112 new corona cases, 2,159 discharges, and 44 deaths were recorded in Maharashtra in the last 24 hours. So far, total cases have been 20,87,632, total recovery 19,89,963, active cases 44,765 and deaths 51,713.
