India Covid-19 overview: 8,603 New cases, active cases falls to 99,974

New Delhi: In the last 24 hours, India has seen 8,603 new cases of the novel coronavirus, with 415 deaths as a result of the infection. According to data released on Saturday by the Union Health Ministry, the country witnessed a total of 8,190 discharges in the last 24 hours, bringing the total recovery rate to roughly 98.35 percent, the highest since March 2020, and total recoveries data to 3,40,53,856.

According to government data released today, the number of active COVID-19 cases in India has decreased to 99,974. So now, the Nationwide Vaccination recorded about 126.53 crore vaccine doses. The country's total death toll today stands at 4,70,530.  The Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) said that 64,60,26,786 samples have been tested for COVID-19 as of December 3rd. On Friday, 12,52,596 of these samples were examined.

Meanwhile, on Friday, Kerala reported 4,995 additional COVID-19 positive cases and 44 COVID-19-related deaths, bringing the total number of people impacted in the state to 51,45,085 and the death toll to 41,124. In the last 24 hours, the state health service tested 62,343 samples, and the weekly infection population ratio in 21 wards across 19 local self-government bodies was above 10 percent.
