New Delhi: In a resolute diplomatic move, India has voiced a forceful protest against China's recently unveiled 2023 official map, which lays claim to regions within India's territorial boundaries. The protest was lodged through diplomatic channels on Tuesday, underscoring India's firm stance on the matter.

Responding to queries from the media, Arindam Bagchi, the spokesperson for the Ministry of External Affairs, unequivocally stated that India completely rejects the unfounded claims being made by China. China's move to release the 2023 edition of its "standard map" has raised significant concerns. The leaders had convened during the 15th BRICS Summit held in South Africa, where they underscored the need for a "resolution" to the persisting border matters that have strained relations between their two nations.
