India surpasses US, country has fastest corona vaccination speed: Prakash Javadekar

The Union Health Ministry on Wednesday said India has become the fastest immunization country in the world, surpassing the US in anti-corona vaccination. On average, 30,93,861 doses are being given daily in India. More than 8.70 crore doses of corona vaccine have been administered in India so far. Union Environment Minister Prakash Javadekar has also tweeted about the same. In a tweet, he said, India is at the forefront of vaccination, surpassing all countries. As per the last report, till 7 am, 8,70,77,474 doses of vaccine have been given in a total of 13,32,130 sessions.

 

89,63,724 health workers have been given the first dose of the corona vaccine, while 53,94,913 health workers have been given the second dose. On the other hand, 97,36,629 advance front personnel have been given the first dose and 43,12,826 employees have been given the second dose. In addition, 3,53,75,953 persons above 60 years of age have been given the first dose and 10,00,787 people of the same age group have been given the second dose. On the other hand, 2,18,60,709 persons between 45 years and 60 years were given the first dose and 4,31,933 persons were given the second dose.

More than 33 lakh anti-corona vaccine supplements were administered in the last 24 hours. On the 81st day of the immunization campaign (April 6) in the country, 33,37,601 persons were given doses. The cases of the corona epidemic are on the rise in the country and the highest ever number of 1,15,736 new cases were reported on Wednesday. Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh, Karnataka, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Madhya Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, and Kerala accounted for 80.70 percent of the new cases. Maharashtra reported the highest number of 55,469 cases. Chhattisgarh received 9,921 cases and Karnataka 6150 cases.
