India Happiness Report 2020: Mizoram, Punjab tops the list of happy states

Recently the report of the country's first Happiness Index has been released. It has been prepared by Rajesh Pilania, Professor at IIM and IIT. He is one of the leading Management Strategy experts of the country. According to him, people living in Mizoram and Punjab are the most happy. For the first time in the country, all the states and union territories were included in the Happiness Survey.

The survey was conducted between March 2020 and July 2020. According to the information received, 16,950 people from all over the country participated and according to these people living in Mizoram, Punjab, Andaman and Nicobar are the happiest states. Haryana, Odisha and Chhattisgarh have come at the bottom in this case.

1. Work-related issues like income and growth

2. Family relations and friendship

3. Physical and mental health

4. Social issues and philanthropy

5. Religion or spiritual affiliation

6. Covid-19's effect on happiness

According to this report, marital status, age group, education and earnings are positively related to happiness. According to this, people who give more importance to time than money, they are happier. Speaking about this to a news website, Professor Rajesh Pilania said- "Happiness is a subjective concept and the difference in ranking is due to differences in happiness components in states and union territories". According to his research, kind and patient people are most happy and prosperous.
