New Delhi: Former Congress President Rahul Gandhi on Saturday attacked the Central government over the problems faced by farmers, price rise and border-related issues and alleged that the Central government had failed and disappointed. Rahul Gandhi tweeted, "Farmer is upset, inflation has reached the sky, the border is in turmoil, India is still great, but the Central Government failed."

On the other hand, Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra attacked the BJP in the state over the news about the death of a farmer who was standing in line for manure in Lalitpur, UP. He tweeted, "Due to mismanagement in paddy procurement, a farmer from Lakhimpur had to set fire to paddy lying in the mandi. A farmer from Lalitpur lost his life standing in the queue due to mismanagement in the distribution of manure. The BJP government in UP is leaving no lacuna eunégé to harass the farmers."

Earlier, Rahul Gandhi, Thursday attacked the Central government over the hike in petrol and diesel prices and alleged that there was a heinous joke going on with the people of the country. "The Central Government is having a disgusting joke with our people. Petrol and diesel prices were hiked by 35 paise per litre on Thursday, raising fuel prices across the country to a record high.'' Even today, he attacked the Central Government on Saturday over farmers' problems, price rise and border issues and alleged that the Central Government had failed and disappointed.
